Overview of the NA60+ experiment at the CERN SPS
/ Alocco, Giacomo (Cagliari U. ; INFN, Cagliari)
/NA60+ Collaboration
NA60+ is a new experiment designed to study the phase diagram of the strongly interacting matter at CERN SPS energies, where the values of the baryochemical potential μB approximately range between 200 and 550 MeV. It is focused on precision studies of thermal dimuons, heavy quarks, and strangeness production in Pb–Pb collisions at center of mass energies ranging from 6 to 17 GeV per nucleon pair. [...]

Commissioning and first collisions with the LHCb SMOG2 system
/ Mariani, Saverio (CERN)
/LHCb Collaboration
Owing to the injection of gas in the CERN LHC accelerator beampipe through the System for Measuring Overlap with Gas (SMOG), the LHCb experiment has been pioneering since 2015 fixed-target physics at the highest energy ever reached. Within the upgrade of the experiment, a confinement cell for the gas, SMOG2, and a new gas injection system were installed. [...]

Exploring jets: substructure and flavour tagging in CMS and ATLAS
/ Malara, Andrea (Brussels U. ; Indian Inst. Tech. Goa)
/ATLAS Collaboration ; CMS Collaboration
The identification and characterization of jets are crucial tasks for effectively probing fundamental particle interactions. The ATLAS and CMS experiments have developed cutting-edge techniques to improve jet identification and calibration, employing innovative approaches including advanced neural network architectures, attention-based mechanisms, and adversarial training. LHCb Overview
/ Durham, J Matthew (Los Alamos)
/LHCb Collaboration
The LHCb experiment has a complete heavy ion physics program, including studies of pp, pA, AA, and UPC events delivered by the Large Hadron Collider, along with a rapidly expanding fixed-target capability. With unique acceptance and detector capabilities, LHCb reaches across the widest range of Bjorken x that is available in the laboratory, accesses an incomparably broad array of light and heavy quark states, and provides measurements of forward bulk phenomena, all down to very low pT. [...]
