Physics Performance assessment of the Run 3 Optimal Calibrations Next Generation Triggers Demonstrator
/CMS Collaboration
This note presents an assessment of the physics performance of the High-Level Trigger (HLT) reconstruction, in which buffered data are reprocessed by the Next Generation Triggers (NGT) Run-3 Optimal Calibration demonstrator using updated detector calibrations. The results showcase that the optimal calibration architecture yields significant improvements in physics performance, especially for e/$\gamma$ objects. [...]

BDT-based topological trigger for HH events in the CMS High-Level Trigger
/CMS Collaboration
This note presents a novel machine-learning-based trigger algorithm developed for the High-Level Trigger (HLT) system of the CMS experiment. The algorithm, referred to as HLT TOPO, is a topological trigger based on a Boosted
Decision Tree (BDT), and is designed to enhance the trigger acceptance, and thus the sensitivity, to the soft
phase-space of Higgs boson (HH) pair production. [...]

Displaced muon reconstruction efficiency using cosmic data recorded from 2022 to 2025 data-taking period
/CMS Collaboration
Displaced muon reconstruction has been introduced to extend the sensitivity of CMS to beyond standard model signal signatures, where one or more muons in the final state can be produced at a significant distance from the interaction region. A measurement of the displaced muon reconstruction efficiency is performed using data recorded during 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 cosmic data taking campaigns [...]

2026 HLT timing and throughput results
/CMS Collaboration
This note presents measurements of the computational performance of the CMS High-Level Trigger (HLT) in 2026, in terms of timing (time per event) as well as throughput (events processed per unit time). Different configurations are compared, demonstrating the improvements brought by offloading part of the HLT reconstruction to GPUs..

Output rates and bandwidth of the High-Level Trigger during 2026 proton-proton runs
/CMS Collaboration
This note presents the output rates and bandwidth of the CMS High-Level Trigger (HLT) towards the start of 2026 proton-proton (pp) runs at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13.6 TeV. The results are shown for a representative fill with an average pileup of $\left\langle \mu \right\rangle = 64$, as well as for a representative low pileup fill with average pileup of $\left\langle \mu \right\rangle = 5$..

GE1/1 Radmon system and data processing overview for Run 3
/CMS Collaboration
The muon system of the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment at CERN consists of 4 muon detection subsystems, one of which is the Gas Electron Multiplier (GEM). 12 RadMon sensors are mounted on the 1st endcap station of the GEM detector (GE 1/1) for measuring the accumulated neutron fluence and total ionisation dose (TID). Experimental inputs to the BTL digitization model
/CMS Collaboration
The update to the Barrel Timing Layer (BTL) digitization model with respect to the implementation reported in the CMS MTD TDR is presented, exploiting experimental inputs from recent laboratory and test beam measurements on sensor prototypes with the final BTL sensors layout. The purpose of this update is to describe the response of the BTL sensors in their final configuration (3.75 mm thick LYSO:Ce crystals, 25 $\mu$m cell-size SiPMs, readout with the TOFHIR2C ASIC).
The TOFHIR2 readout ASIC features 32 independent channels with three branches for timing, energy discrimination, and charge integration. [...]
