CMS RPC performance and operation in LHC Run 3 / CMS Collaboration
The CMS experiment has collected more than 180 fb$^{-1}$ of proton-proton collision data at a 13.6 TeV center-of-mass energy in Run 3 data taking (2022, 2023 and 2024). The CMS RPC system faces the challenge of the LHC delivered instantaneous luminosity of up to 2 x 10$^{34}$ cm$^{-2}$s$^{-1}$, providing redundant information for robust muon triggering, reconstruction and identification. Differential cross section measurements of top quark pair production for variables of the dineutrino system with the CMS experiment / Consuegra Rodríguez, Sandra (RWTH Aachen U.) /CMS Collaboration
Differential top quark pair cross sections are measured in the dilepton final state as a function of kinematic variables associated to the dineutrino system. The measurements are performed making use of the Run 2 dataset collected by the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC collider, corresponding to proton-proton collisions recorded at center of mass energy of 13 TeV and an integrated luminosity of 138 fb$^{-1}$. Measurements with top quarks at the LHC / Knolle, Joscha (Gent U.) /ATLAS and CMS Collaborations
The top quark, the heaviest known elementary particle, plays a crucial role in advancing our understanding of fundamental physics. In this contribution, the latest measurements of top quark production and properties from the ATLAS and CMS experiments at the LHC are discussed. [...]

Forward Physics at LHC - Intersection with Astrophysics / Penzo, Aldo (Iowa U.) /CMS Collaboration
LHC pp collisions at $\sqrt s$ = 14 TeV correspond to 100 PeV in the cosmic ray spectrum, reaching regions (such as the knee) whose interpretation is still debated, and whose models may be strongly influenced by LHC results on forward hadronic production, for instance as measured with CMS forward calorimeters. Other astrophysics problems that may receive a decisive input from LHC, and in particular HL-LHC, concern the interpretation of dark matter and dark energy in the universe, in correspondence with BSM particles that may be detected as LLP (Long-Lived-Particles). An overview of the CMS High Granularity Calorimeter / Akgun, Bora (Bogazici U.) /CMS Collaboration
Calorimetry at the High Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) faces many challenges, particularly in the forward direction such as, radiation tolerance and large in-time event pileup. To meet these challenges, the CMS Collaboration is preparing to replace its current endcap calorimeters for the HL-LHC era with a high-granularity calorimeter (HGCAL), featuring an unprecedented transverse and longitudinal segmentation, for both the electromagnetic and hadronic compartments, with 5D information (space-time-energy) read out. HGCAL SiPM-on-Tile Full-Stack Integration with the Serenity Phase-2 DAQ Hardware / Hummer, Fabian (KIT, Karlsruhe, EKP) /CMS Collaboration
For the upcoming high-luminosity LHC, the endcap calorimeters of the CMS experiment will be replaced by the high-granularity calorimeter (HGCAL), a sampling calorimeter using both silicon and scintillator as active materials in different regions depending on the radiation dose. This contribution describes the integration details of the scintillator-based front-end into the readout chain of HGCAL. [...]

Quality control of LYSO Ce crystals for the CMS barrel MIP Timing Detector / Akrap, Petra (INFN, Rome ; Rome U.) /CMS Collaboration
The MIP Timing Detector (MTD) is a new sub-detector planned for the Phase 2 upgrade of the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC, designed to measure the time-of-arrival of charged particles with a resolution of 30-60 ps. The barrel region of MTD (Barrel Timing Layer, BTL) is made of arrays of Cerium-doped Lutetium-Yttrium Oxyorthosilicate (LYSO Ce) scintillating bars, readout by silicon photo-multipliers arrays. Online and Offline Event selections for UPC heavy-flavour and jet events with CMS / Kovacs, Balazs (Eotvos U.) /CMS Collaboration
In this proceeding, we present the experimental techniques developed to select good photo-nuclear events in ultraperipheral heavy-ion collisions (UPCs) with the CMS detector at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The CMS Collaboration has recently designed and implemented a new trigger strategy to maximize the number of collected photo-nuclear events in Pb+Pb UPCs. [...]

Measurements of lepton flavour universality in $B_c^+$ meson decays / Sedelnikov, Aleksandr (CERN-based) /CMS Collaboration
The CMS experiment results on R($J/\psi$) = $\mathcal{B}(B_c^+ \to J/\psi \tau^+ \nu_{\tau})/\mathcal{B}(B_c^+ \to J/\psi \mu^+ \nu_{\mu})$ lepton flavor universality observable are reported using two channels of reconstruction of the $\tau$ lepton: $\tau^+ \rightarrow \mu^+ \nu_\mu \bar{\nu_\tau}$ (leptonic) and $\tau^+ \to \pi^+ \pi^- \pi^+ (+ \pi^0) \bar{\nu_{\tau}}$ (hadronic). These measurements use 13 TeV proton-proton collision data from the LHC Run 2. [...]
