URAM-based asynchronous FIFO design for improved throughput and FPGA RAM usage
/
Duarte Rosado, Pedro Martim
(CERN) ;
Pedro Tomas
;
Nuno Roma
;
Andre David of the CMS Collaboration
/CMS Collaboration
First-In First-Out (FIFO) memories are essential for data transfers in Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) designs, providing buffering and communication facilities between different components and clock domains. Traditional implementations rely on Block-RAM (BRAM) cells, but transferring large data packets can lead to excessive BRAM usage, potentially limiting resources for other parts of the system.

Observation of a family of all-charm tetraquarks with spin-2 and positive parity at CMS
/
Wang, Xining
(Tsinghua U., Beijing) /CMS Collaboration
A comprehensive study of all-charm tetraquark candidates is presented in this paper. The search is performed in the $J/\psi J/\psi$ mass spectrum using proton-proton collision data at $\sqrt{s}=13$ and 13.6 TeV collected with the CMS detector at the LHC.

Searches for dark matter with CMS in mono-X signatures
/
Chauhan, Sushil Singh
(Panjab U.) /CMS Collaboration
Determination of the nature of dark matter is one of the most fundamental problems of particle physics and cosmology. These proceedings present recent searches for dark matter particles from the CMS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider, focusing on mono-X signatures..

Single and double top quark production at CMS
/
Palencia Cortezon, Jose Enrique
(Oviedo U.) /CMS Collaboration
The most recent inclusive measurements of single and double top quark pair production are presented. Data collected with the CMS experiment in proton-proton collisions at the LHC at different centre-of-mass energies are used and the results are compared to the standard model predictions..

Searches for Additional Higgs Bosons at CMS
/
Chen, Ye
(Beijing, Inst. High Energy Phys.) /CMS Collaboration
This report presents an overview of the search program for additional Higgs bosons using proton-proton collision data recorded by the CMS experiment at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 138 fb$^{-1}$. The discussion focuses on the experimental strategies developed to probe theoretical scenarios that predict an extended Higgs sector.

Searches for New Resonances in CMS
/
Zisopoulos, Ilias
(Athens U.) /CMS Collaboration
The quest for new physics is a major aspect of the CMS experimental program. This includes a myriad of theoretical models involving resonances that can decay to massive bosons, photons, leptons, or jets.

Performance of triple-GEM detectors for the ME0 system of the CMS Phase-2 Upgrade
/
Nenna, Felice
(INFN, Bari ; Bari U.) /CMS Collaboration
The High-Luminosity LHC will deliver proton-proton collisions at 5-7.5 times the nominal LHC luminosity, with an expected number of 140-200 pp-interactions per bunch crossing. To maintain the performance of muon triggering and reconstruction under high-rate background, the forward part of the Muon spectrometer of the CMS experiment will be upgraded with Gas Electron Multiplier (GEM) detectors.The ME0 station will consist of stacks of six triple-GEM detectors, designed to extend the muon system pseudo-rapidity coverage up to $-2.8 < \eta < 2.8$.

Description of ME0 GEM Detectors for the Phase-2 Upgrade of the CMS experiment at the LHC
/
Chauhan, Bhawana
(Panjab U.)
The CMS experiment at CERN will undergo a substantial upgrade during Long Shutdown-3 (2026-28) to handle the large number of pileup events in the High-Luminosity LHC. The objective is to increase the integrated luminosity to 10 times the LHC design value ($10^{34} cm^{-2} s^{-1}$).

Searches for new physics breaking the CP and flavor symmetries in the top quark sector at CMS
/
Sanchez Cruz, Sergio
(CERN) /CMS Collaboration
The top quark plays an important role in a number of new physics models, some of which introduce violations to some of the accidental symmetries of the SM, such as the lepton number conservation or introduce additional sources of others already broken, such as the CP symmetry. A set of measurements is presented that probe violation of these symmetries in processes involving the top quark, in association with additional particles..
