Quantum field theory and the electroweak Standard Model / Bednyakov, A V (Dubna, JINR)
In these lecture notes, we discuss the basics of quantum field theory, key ideas underlying the construction of the electroweak Standard Model, and some phenomenological manifestations of the latter. In addition, the present status, issues, and prospects of the SM are briefly covered..

Neutrino physics / Gonzalez-Garcia, M C (ICC, Barcelona U. ; ICREA, Barcelona ; YITP, Stony Brook)
The purpose of these lectures is to quantitatively summarize the present status of the phenomenology of massive neutrinos. In the first lecture I will present the low energy formalism for adding neutrino masses to the Standard Model and the inducedleptonic mixing, and I will describe the status of the existing probes of the absolute neutrino mass scale. The second lecture is devoted to describing the phenomenology associated with neutrino flavour oscillations in vacuum and in matter and the corresponding experimental results observing these phenomena. In the third lecture I will present the minimal 3 mixing picture emerging from the global description of the data. I will briefly comment on the status of extensions of this picture with additional light states and the possibility of non-standard neutrino interactions. [...]

Cosmology and dark matter / Rubakov, V.A. (Moscow, INR ; Moscow State U.)
Cosmology and astroparticle physics give strongest possible evidence for the incompleteness of the Standard Model of particle physics. Leaving aside misterious dark energy, which may or may not be just the cosmological constant, two properties of the Universe cannot be explained by the Standard Model: dark matter and matter-antimatter asymmtery. Chapter 9: Conclusion / Newbold, D (Rutherford)
In accordance with the recommendations of the 2020 update of the European Strategy for Particle Physics, the European Laboratory Directors Group has completed a year-long process to determine the status and prospects of particle accelerator R&D; in five key areas, and has proposed R&D; objectives for the next five-to-ten years with an outline delivery plan to achieve them. The analysis and planning have been conducted by five expert panels, with membership from the European and international field. [...]

Chapter 8: Sustainability considerations / Roser, T (Brookhaven Natl. Lab.) ; Seidel, M (PSI, Villigen ; Ecole Polytechnique, Lausanne)
Scarcity of resources, along with climate change originating from the excessive exploitation of fossil energy are ever growing concerns for humankind. Particularly, the total electric power consumption of scientific facility operations will become more important as the reliance on fossil fuels is being reduced, carbon-neutral energy sources are still being developed and a larger part of the energy consumption is converted from fossil fuel to electric power. [...]

The International Linear Collider (ILC) is an electron-positron collider with a collision energy of 250 GeV (total length of approximately 20 km). The design study for the ILC for a collision energy of 500 GeV started in 2004, and the technical design report (TDR) was published by the Global Design Effort (GDE) international team in 2013. [...]

Chapter 7: R&D; programmes oriented towards specific future facilities : Section 7.1: The FCC-ee R&D; programme / Benedikt, M (CERN) ; Blondel, A (KEK, Tsukuba) ; Brunner, O (CERN) ; Janot, P (CERN) ; Jensen, E (CERN) ; Koratzinos, M (MIT) ; Losito, R (CERN) ; Oide, K (KEK, Tsukuba) ; Raubenheimer, T (SLAC ; Novosibirsk, IYF) ; Zimmermann, F (CERN)
In summer 2021, the Future Circular Collider Feasibility Study was launched. The FCC-ee builds on 60 years of operating colliding beam storage rings. The design is robust and will provide high luminosity over the desired centre-of-mass energy range from 90 to 365 GeV. [...]
