The Minimum Ionizing Particle Timing Detector (MTD) will be introduced in the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment to measure the production time of Minimum Ionizing Particles (MIPs). Power Conversion Cards (PCCs) regulates and supplies low voltage to front end electronics of the MTD barrel, the Barrel Timing Layer (BTL). [...]

CMS Trigger Performance in Run 3
/ Varghese, Sanu (Bhubaneswar, Inst. Phys.)
/CMS Collaboration
The CMS experiment at CERN uses a two-stage trigger system to filter and store events of physics importance a hardware-based Level 1 (L1) trigger that uses fast electronics to process data in a pipeline fashion at 40 MHz with an output rate of 100 kHz and a software-based High-Level Trigger (HLT), run on computer farms with an output rate of around 1.5 kHz. Many novel trigger algorithms, coupled with technological developments such as heterogeneous computing in GPUs were developed to cope with the increased luminosity and physics needs of Run 3. [...]

The planned MALTA3 DMAPS designed in the standard TowerJazz 180 nm imaging process will implement the numerous process modifications, as well as front-end changes in order to boost the charge collection efficiency after the targeted fluence of 1 × 10$^{15}$ 1 MeV n$_{eq}$/cm$^{2}$. The effectiveness of these changes have been demonstrated with recent measurements of the full size MALTA2 chip. [...]

High voltage consolidation of the temperature measurement channels of the LHC superconducting current leads
/ Trikoupis, N (CERN) ; Casas-Cubillos, J (CERN) ; Bustamante, E (CERN)
Recurrent dielectric breakdowns on the cryogenics instrumentation during the CERN LHC Electrical Quality Assurance (ELQA) campaigns led to an investigation of their root causes. During the CERN Long Shutdown 2 (LS2), several weaknesses were identified like floating wires or cable screens, cabling non-conformities, connector assembly issues, and weakness of the electronic conditioning cards. Fab-to-fab and run-to-run variability in 130 nm and 65 nm CMOS technologies exposed to ultra-high TID
/ Termo, G (CERN ; Ecole Polytechnique, Lausanne) ; Borghello, G (CERN) ; Faccio, F (CERN) ; Michelis, S (CERN) ; Koukab, A (Ecole Polytechnique, Lausanne) ; Sallese, J M (Ecole Polytechnique, Lausanne)
The discovery of a large fab-to-fab variability in the TID response of the CMOS technologies used in the design of ASICs for the particle detectors of the HL-LHC triggered a monitoring effort to verify the consistency of the CMOS production process over time. As of 2014, 22 chips from 3 different fabs in 130 nm CMOS technology and 11 chips from 2 different fabs in 65 nm CMOS technology have been irradiated to ultra-high doses, ranging from 100 Mrad(SiO$_{2}$) to 1 Grad(SiO$_{2}$).
