Recent Heavy Flavor Results in ATLAS
/
Gentry, Andrew Donald
(University of New Mexico (US)) /ATLAS Collaboration
Studying heavy-flavour hadron properties provides a extensive tests for various QCD predictions as well as a means to probe the Standard Model validity. ATLAS experiment, being a general-purpose detector at LHC, is particularly successful in such measurements with final states involving muons, thanks to large collected integrated luminosity and precise muon reconstruction and triggering.

Production of the ATLAS ITk Strip End-Cap global structures for the Phase-II LHC Upgrade.
/
Van't Hek, Max Nicolaas
(Nikhef National institute for subatomic physics (NL)) /ATLAS Collaboration
The inner detector of the current ATLAS experiment has been designed to operate in the environment of the present Large Hadron Collider (LHC). During the ATLAS Phase-II Upgrade, particle densities and radiation levels will exceed present levels by an order of magnitude

Irradiation studies of ATLAS18 mini strip detectors with 23 GeV protons in IRRAD facility
/
Mandic, Igor
(Jozef Stefan Institute (SI)) /ATLAS Collaboration
Several irradiation campaigns using 23 GeV protons were conducted at the IRRAD facility at CERN, employing test structures from ATLAS18 wafers for the ATLAS ITk strip sensors. These campaigns aimed to study charge collection efficiency after irradiation.

High-precision measurement of the $B_d^0$ meson lifetime at the ATLAS experiment.
/
Smizanska, Maria
(Lancaster University (GB)) /ATLAS Collaboration
This talk will present the currently most precise measurement of the $B^0$ meson lifetime using 140 fb$^{-1}$ of 13 TeV $pp$ collision data of the ATLAS experiment, along with measurements of the average decay width $\Gamma_d$ and the ratio of $B^0$ and $B^0_s$ widths $\Gamma_d/\Gamma_s$..

Quark-Gluon Constituent-Based Jet Taggers for the HL-LHC
/
Castillo, Florencia Luciana
(Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (FR)) /ATLAS Collaboration
Jet constituents provide a more detailed description of the radiation pattern within a jet compared to observables summarizing global jet properties. In Run 2 analyses at the LHC using the ATLAS detector, transformer-based taggers leveraging low-level variables outperformed traditional approaches based on high-level variables and conventional neural networks in distinguishing quark- and gluon-initiated jets.

Machine Learning-Driven Anomaly Detection in Dijet Events with ATLAS
/
Golling, Tobias
(Universite de Geneve (CH)) ;
Noll, Dennis Daniel Nick
(Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. (US)) /ATLAS Collaboration
This contribution discusses an anomaly detection search for narrow-width resonances beyond the Standard Model that decay into a pair of jets. Using 139 fb−1 of proton-proton collision data at sqrt(s) = 13 TeV, recorded from 2015 to 2018 with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider, we aim to identify new physics without relying on a specific signal model.

{Search for a New Pseudoscalar Decaying to $b\bar{b}$ in Top-Associated Production at $\sqrt{s}=13$~TeV with ATLAS
/
Abdelhameed, Sara
(New York University Abu Dhabi (AE)) /ATLAS Collaboration
Using the full \(139~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}\) of \(\sqrt{s}=13\ \mathrm{TeV}\) \(pp\) collision data recorded by ATLAS during Run~2, this search looks for a pseudoscalar \(a\) (CP-odd Higgs boson) produced with a top-quark pair or a single top\,+\,\(W\) and decaying via \(a\!\to\!b\bar b\). Events are selected in the dileptonic final state with exactly two opposite-sign leptons and at least three jets.

Search for long-lived neutral particles decaying into the ATLAS muon spectrometer
/
Revering, Michael
(University of Cambridge (GB)) /ATLAS Collaboration
A recent analysis for long-lived particles using data collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC is presented. The analysis uses vertices reconstructed from track segments in the muon spectrometers to search for long-lived particle decays displaced up to 14m from the primary interaction vertex.

Unsupervised Machine Learning for Anomaly Detection in LHC Collider Searches
/
D'Avanzo, Antonio
(University Federico II and INFN, Naples (IT)) /ATLAS Collaboration
Searches for new physics at the LHC traditionally use advanced simulations to model Standard Model (SM) processes in high-energy collisions. These are then compared with predictions from new-physics theories like dark matter and supersymmetry

Upgrade of the ATLAS Tile Calorimeter for the High-Luminosity LHC
/
Cervello Duato, Antonio
(Univ. of Valencia and CSIC (ES)) /ATLAS Collaboration
The Tile Calorimeter (TileCal) is a sampling hadronic calorimeter covering the central region of the ATLAS experiment with steel as the absorber and plastic scintillators as the active medium. Scintillators are read out by wavelength shifting fibers coupled to photomultiplier tubes (PMTs), positioned at the outermost part of the modules.
